We are going from November 25th- November 29th. We want to spend 3 days in Zion and 2 days in the Grand Canyon. 1) What would the weather be around this time? We are leaning towards doing Angel's Landing and Observation Point hikes in Zion. Would they be okay for me to do this late in the year? 2) How safe would the drive between Zion and Grand Canyon be? Would it be dangerous to drive at night? 3) We want to book our accommodations soon as we know its the US thanksgiving that weekend. Would it be busy that time? The south rim of the Grand Canyon sits about 6500 feet. It will be cooler at the GC than Zion. You could get an early shot of winter at the GC in late November, and in the higher elevations of Zion, namely East Zion/SR9 and Kolob sections.
