However the majority of the day will be devoted to how to minimize the effects of a storm on your boat and just as importantly, its negative effects on your crew. Through extensive hand outs and powerpoint presentations your experienced instructor will walk you through the dos and don'ts of Heavy Weather Sailing. Your US SAILING Certified Coastal Passagemaking Instructor, Kay-John Kavanaugh, hails from Germany and has a broad range of experience sailing the North, Baltic, and Mediterranean Seas, as well as Florida, the Bahamas, and West Coast of the U. S. He is a German Sailing Association certified sailing instructor and German Government licensed boat captain.
