I have a Spectra front pocket, so I could be conservative and go with plain spectra and no stripe. Frame Stays & Load Lifters — I'm 100% getting stays. I'll replace them with the carbon fiber ones to save an ounce. I've read that the lightweight cord/lineloc ones are perfectly fine, although a bit finicky. I'm leaning towards those. Let me know if the heavier straps are necessary/worth it. Shoulder Straps — I'm planning to go with the default 13mm strap webbing. I'm not sure the 20mm size does much. Shoulder Strap Pockets — I'm leaning towards the dual Lycra mesh pockets on the shoulder straps. One for my phone, one for ziplocks of snacks for the twins. The zipper one seems bigger and doesn't seem necessary, but I don't know. I could also just go with one mesh pocket to save weight. Bottom loops — I'm planning to get all 6. They're light, and it helps with adding volume for kid gear. Extension Collar — Given my desire for volume, this seems worth it (adds 5L) and only adds half an ounce.
Trivia: I didn't want to believe it, but Harry the Lizard is 100% CGI. I'm heartbroken. This is a great series with lots of humor and heart and well-plotted mysteries. Happy Reader

Summer, from November to April, sees blue skies and the best temperatures, averaging around 30�C. January and March are 'wetter' months when sub-tropical storms or cyclones can occasionally occur, usually lasting just a couple of days. Between May and October - the Mauritian winter - temperatures are a little cooler, but still with excellent hours of daily sunshine. During this period, the west and north coast's tend to be more sheltered with the east and southern coast receiving more wind. The west coast also generally receives less rainfall than other areas. December to March is usually the best time for diving when the waters are clearest, while June to August is best for surfing.

The engineering electives are top-notch (though a bit too heavy on the workload/complexity of projects and deadlines for high schoolers). The principal has innovative ideas and seems fearless in implementing them. We have 'smart lunch' right now, where the *entire* school has lunch at the same time. Teachers can have office hours and offering tutoring help, kids can use the time to study - or - to just go outside and play ultimate frisbee or hang out with their friends. In a school of its size, this is challenging, but they seem to be making it work! My son's teachers have all been very supportive of his learning differences and have worked with us to keep him challenged academically.
